That’s why 7Up engaged us to put together a night filled with love, laughter, food, and music, so it could uphold its brand tradition of celebrating the love for food while enjoying an ice-cold and refreshing 7UP.

The Why

7Up’s brand association with the food it complements in Pakistani cuisine needed to kick the New Year off with a hot bang! The brand created its event, 7up: Foodies Without Borders, to celebrate foodie culture with an event that would make attendees’ taste buds tingle with joy. 7up looked to Cartel for its services in spreading the hype loudly when it came to everything related to Event PR.

The Event

From desi comfort food to traditional delicacies, 7Up’s ‘Foodies Without Borders’ brought amazing renditions of Pakistani cuisine under one event space. Foodies mingled at an incredible event where they didn’t have to travel extra miles to reach their favorite foodie destinations because 7Up had blurred the borders between Lahore and Karachi. After all, the way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach!

The force of scrumptious food and enthusiastic vibes really brought everyone together to end the year right! Not only were the sensory receptors of the foodies’ sent to heaven, but music by Ali Noor, The All Girls Band, and Uraan filled the space, keeping the vibes at an all-time high.

ROAD TO RAVING PUBLICITY

The entire event was spectacularly put together, with the ladies and gents indulging in different cuisines by vendors from all across Pakistan under one roof. Featuring some brilliant live performances to vibe to with every bite, every electric moment was captured and amplified across all social media platforms. To capture the sensory details of foodies being sent to cloud nine through their appetite, an intense PR strategy was executed from our end to circulate the news. 

Covering the event by heavily dispersing news was our undertaking and Cartel got the word out about the fun-filled event across all platforms. The event hashtag #7UPBonfires became a trend on Twitter, online publications covered the event on their blogs, and Facebook and Instagram content was curated to go viral, to keep word about the foodie party trending.

Overview

Mountain Dew with Pakistan’s Biggest Gaming tournament hosted ‘Dew Gamers Arena’ to fill thousands of expert gamers and enthusiasts in one event space. Teams competed for the prize of their dreams in the most happening competition where eSports terrain was unlike any other. Cartel was engaged to deliver news in a way that matched the hype of the event and the fiery spirit of the competition.

The Why

Because of Cartel’s deep-rooted connections and power to gather a crowd, Mountain Dew approached us as they required a pull of about 1000 people for the biggest gaming event in Pakistan that they were hosting. Additionally, we were engaged to reach the masses through a PR strategy to populate content across digital platforms to cover the event’s content from the likes of PUBG, CS:GO, and DOTA gameplay with a ruling gamer in each gaming field!

The Event

The largest and most intense gaming showdown rocked Lahore with Dew Gamers Arena, uniting thousands of gaming lovers at the Expo Center. The event called in gamers of PUBG Mobile, CS:GO and DOTA 2 from all over Pakistan, with the qualifying teams (out of an initial 1250) competing for the grand prize of Rs. 1 million per game at the live showdown. Gamers played with the utmost dedication and concentration, motivated by the cheers of a roaring crowd. 

VR Games, Play Station, Kinect consoles, and even old-school arcade games lined the arena, so gaming stations and setups could be enjoyed by the general audience as well.  And to top off all the excitement, the tournament had a lineup of incredible musical performances by artists like Rindanum (a drum performance), Fake Shamans, 2019 Pepsi Battle of the Bands winners AUJ, as well as the iconic Ali Azmat. Each performance was pumping and electric, fostering an even better atmosphere amongst the massive audience.

Overview

Samsung Pakistan pushed out new technology, specifically designed for Generation Z. They put together a Launch Event for the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Lite Series of smartphones. Cartel was approached to create a strategy to ensure that the event that would appeal to Samsung’s target audience and propel their new phones into the market with zeal!

The Why

Samsung required Cartel’s Event PR services to create a fitting strategy that would have their Launch Event talked about heavily. But how could we spread the word digitally to a generation that is constantly on their phones and known to have an attention span that only lasts 8 seconds per content piece? THAT was the challenge Samsung engaged us to overcome.

The Event

The event was a kaleidoscope of colors, music, lights, patterns, and

food. A picturesque & Instagrammable event night resulting in some

crazy content to be created at every turn! We identified passion points for Gen Z with stalls and booths covering these for content creation and fun engagement. These points covered activities relating to Food, Gaming, Music, and Content Creation. 

Performances of DJ Neha Khan, Rindanum, and the chart-topper Shamoon Ismail, combined together, elevated the night to a whole new level, making the walls beat and the roof shake to their electric performances!

The Way

On Instagram, Cartel bombarded newsfeeds with pictures illuminated by neon lights and a flashy background! A number of online publications and influencer posts captured the key moments of the events, behind the scenes, mouthwatering food, and the raving crowd!

There were constant tweets on Twitter about the event and its relevant hashtags, which plastered the platform! Also not to be missed, vlogs by content creators, receiving millions of eyeballs, covered the entire event and its unlimited moments!

From the phone launch to the assorted sushi being served, everything in between, over, and above was zoomed, clicked, and stitched together in a neat yet explosive package for maximum impact!

Overview

Pakistan’s biggest & hottest concert of 2021, Flamin’ Hot Soundfest, rocked the socks off Lahore. Three of Pepsi’s biggest snack brands battled it out in a fiery showdown to claim the title of the hottest chip in town! Lays Pakistan revived concerts in the city after an eventless few years due to the pandemic. So with a sizzling hot lineup of today’s top artists including Hasan Raheem, Shamoon Ismail, and Maanu, along with a live audience of over 2000, a brilliant PR Strategy was needed to keep the hype at a high before, during, and after the event.

The Why

Lays challenged us to make their event as loud as possible. Targeting an audience through a PR strategy that would make their large-scale event the talk of the town required strategic placements of media, talent, and digital assets. They also selected Cartel for on-event guest list expertise because they wanted to fill the concert’s audience with the right faces and vibes.

The Event

Taha G started the showdown with his exciting opening act. Fireball, Maanu, was rallied for #TeamCheetos with his infectious vibe which took over the stage, followed by Hasan Raheem for #TeamWavy. Hasan’s melodious sound with a hint of Flamin’ Hot beats was enough to heat up the dance floor! 

Trailblazer and heartthrob Shamoon Ismail, performing for #TeamKurkure, created a whole different type of electricity when he hit the stage. The crowd sang all his songs, and the magic being made could be heard across the entire festival grounds!

In the end, the vocal powerhouse Umair Jaswal made the audience roar with his grand finale featuring a firework display that will be remembered forever. Along with flamin’ hot music, people were loving the merch & snacks designed with Pepsi’s infamous chips that took good vibes to a whole new level. 

When it came to good ol’ festival munching, an array of food stalls kept the crowd full with good vibes and even greater food! Mastani created an epic blend of chaats topped with Kurkure Toofani Mirch. Meanwhile, Melt produced a festival menu of snacks that were indeed Flamin’ Hot because of their fun use of Cheetos. Last but not least, Muneeze Khalid incorporated Lays Wavy chips in festival foods like sliders and cheeseballs. Together, each vendor matched the vibe of Soundfest, leaving everyone HOT for all this yummy goodness!   The whole event was picturesque, from the stage to the people, bringing a love for music and food all into one area.

The Way

ROAD TO RAVING PUBLICITY

The event PR strategy for Flamin’ Hot Soundfest was simple: make it viral! With so many Instagrammable moments throughout the night, our collection of impressive content was ours to distribute both organically and in paid media.

The goal was to create the ultimate #FOMO! Cartel PR leveraged its strongest media relationships with the talent’s media platforms and designed press content that was viral-worthy to drive instant buzz surrounding Pepsi and Lays. On Instagram, the newsfeeds belonging to publications and influencer talent were categorically curated to disseminate the most eye-catching and praise-worthy moments of the festival. By maximizing content coverage on-event in both video and pictorial form, the mass response was that this event was truly one that shouldn’t have been missed, and moreover created a grand demand for the concert to become translocational across Pakistan.
